Watch the sunset from the back lawn and enjoy s'mores around a campfire! Guests can reserve the fire pits and purchase campfire supplies at the front desk during your stay. For your convenience, fire wood bundles and s'mores kits are available for purchase. It is always a good idea to relax by a fire after a long day of adventuring and fun!

Deer Creek’s hiking trails are a wonderful way to explore the park’s woodland, meadows, shoreline, and perhaps catch a glimpse of our wildlife too.

Deer Creek’s pastoral setting invites you to relax and really enjoy your game. Our carefully manicured greens are smooth and true, and our long fairways and challenging greens will bring out the best in your game. Our 18-hole course has level terrain that appeals to golfers who prefer to walk.

Reserve your Tee Time

Enjoy soaking up the sun, picnicking and grilling on our public beach. Swimming is permitted during daylight hours at the 1,700 ft. public beach.

Located near the Campground

Ohio’s Storybook Trails bring books to life for children and families. Storybook Trails are lined with pages from a children’s book to blend the fun of outdoor exploration with reading. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources launched the Storybook Trail program in 2019 to promote the importance of literacy, a healthy lifestyle, and connecting with nature.

Hunting is not permitted in the state park bounds, but is permitted in the Deer Creek Wildlife Area.

• A valid Ohio hunting license is required.

Deer Creek Lake is famous for its early spring saugeye fishing below the dam. Excellent catches of catfish, largemouth bass, and crappie also entice the angler.
